HealthSun Health Plans is a South Florida Medicare Advantage company owned by Elevance Health, the parent of Anthem. It sells HMO plans only in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties, under names like HealthAdvantage Plan, HealthAdvantage Plus, MediMax, VitalCare and MediSun.

For 2027, HealthSun earned 4.5 stars, one of the top ratings in Florida. CMS’s 2027 plan data lists 11 individual HealthSun plans, down from 13, as two of its dual-eligible plans end. Annual Enrollment runs October 15 to December 7, 2026, for coverage that starts January 1, 2027.

What Changed at HealthSun for 2027

Comparing CMS’s 2026 and 2027 plan data, HealthSun made only a few changes:

Two dual plans end. MediSun Plus and MediSun Full Dual Plus are not listed for 2027. MediSun Extra and MediSun Full Dual Extra continue.

Everything else continues. HealthAdvantage Plan, HealthAdvantage Plus, MediMax and VitalCare are all listed again for 2027.

Same three counties. HealthSun still sells plans only in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach.
