Medicare Advantage Plans in Louisiana 2027: Carriers, Parishes and Giveback Plans

Louisiana has one of the most competitive Medicare Advantage markets in the South. CMS’s 2027 plan data lists 122 individual Medicare Advantage plans from 11 carriers, and every one of Louisiana’s 64 parishes has at least 32 plans to choose from, including special needs plans.

The biggest story for 2027 is Devoted Health, which more than doubled its Louisiana lineup. Local favorites Peoples Health and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana are still here, alongside Humana, Aetna, Wellcare and UnitedHealthcare. Annual Enrollment runs October 15 to December 7, 2026, for coverage that starts January 1, 2027.
